Merry Winter's Veil Dragonsworn and guests! It's been a long time since we've updated the front page so we're just going to go over the highlights to catch up real fast. Here's some of the things we've been up to:

New officers: Frostygos has been promoted to Elder and now helps run the Adventure Nights on Wednesdays at 7pm! Hildwyn has also been promoted to Elder and she helps run the Wyrmhearth, run other events, and interview new recruits. A big thank you to both of them for helping to guide the Council into the future and lighten my own duties some.

New Recruits: Heklah, Omnius, Boggus, Noirmayne, Somnursra, and Raegar have all recently joined the ranks of the Dragonsworn. Welcome to the guild!

Neat Stuff: The Dragonsworn have a new recruitment poster! Check it out on the link to the left or in our gallery.

Public Events: The Dragonsworn ran the first annual Brewfest Ram Racing Championship in October and in November we held a Stormwind Relief Effort/Supply Hand Out in the aftermath of the Cataclysm.

Adventures: The DSC also ran the following adventures (you can get more information about these adventures on the official DSC Timeline on our "Dragons in Flight forum". Check the months of Oct, Nov, and Dec):

-Rescued Archmage Vargoth and recovered a page from an ancient Titan Tome.

-Acted in Operation: Gnomergan phase 1 and 2.

-The Wyrmhearth was visited by the troll loa of DEATH!

-Approaching Twilight Parts 1-3. Part 4 coming next week!

-Defended Stormwind Park from an Elemental Invasion.

-Held our Shattering/Cataclysm adventure.

-Held a War Council to discuss our reaction to the Cataclysm's aftermath.

-Fended off an assault by the Black Dragonflight on the Wyrmhearth Tavern!

Wayhelm Rescued!

Wayhelm was captured two weeks ago by the Dragonmaw Clan in the mistaken belief he was a red dragon! His red armor, red hair, and Dragonsworn tabard had them convinced that THIS time they had captured a true drake.

Once again the Dragonmaw were sadly mistaken.

The Dragonsworn Council refused to ransom Wayhelm as they do not negotiate with the one time enslaver of Alexstrasza. Instead Matron Rublestrasza led Ishuzugosa and Frostygos in a night time raid to rescue the Dragonsworn Paladin.

After fighting their way through the camp and freeing Wayhelm the Dragonsworn portaled to Ironforge where a Priestess tended to Wayhelm's most grievious injures before they returned to the Wyrmhearth for a night of celebration (and in Wayhelm's case being pampered and fed till he burst).

K3 Assault!

After a week of holding the line at the siege of K3 the Dragonsworn were faced with the biggest attack yet. The magnataur were sending the bulk of their snobold army against defenders of K3!

A fierce battle ensued that almost broke the Dragonsworn lines. The numbers of the snobolds, the explosives of the snobold grenadiers, and the strength of their magnataur chieftan was a terrible thing to behold. At the darkest moment Dragonsworn member Exziber held aloft the Dragonsworn Banner and rallied the Council to a last minute victory.

The goblins of K3 thank Alyias, Exziber, Gaen "Frostygos" Hildwyn, Lexix, Ogumel, and Rublestrasza for their aid in defending the town.

After the dust had settled Ruby summoned forth the image of Archmage Vargoth using the wizard's staff. The mage seemed... impatient to say the least at the Dragonsworn's slow progress in rescuing him. Hold on Vargoth we're coming for you!

Guild Meeting

September 17th: The Dragonsworn held a guild meeting and Ruby anounces two items: The Argent Crusade has slain the Lich King and ended the threat of the Scourge and that the Dragonsworn are sending their Azure Wing on a diplomatic mission to the Blue Flight in an attempt to help in healing the wounds caused by the Nexus War. A status update was given for the siege of K3 and the preparations for the Dragonsworn repaying Lexix and aiding in Operation: Gnomergan were discussed.

Hildwyn, Ishuzu, and Gaen (Frostygos) were all promoted to full Dragonsworn.

More information on the IC and OOC topics in the meeting can be found on the forums later tonight.

September 18th: During the weekly Wyrmhearth a duo of black whelplings arrived and demanded intelligence from the Wyrmrest Accord relating to increased Twilight Cultist activity. Matron Rublestrasza agrees to help as a way to offer an olive branch to a faction within the Black Dragonflight.

The search for Archmage Vargoth

The Dragonsworn were reminded quite loudly on the night of September 15th by the staff of Archmage Vargoth that they never rescued him from the Nexus at the end of the assault on Coldara! Taken by a tribe of vicious snobolds and magnataur in the aftermath of the battle, the Dragonsworn set out to rescue the mage and make good their mistake.

Arriving at K3 they found the small goblin settlement under assault by the snobolds. In exchange for the information on the snobold caves the Dragonsworn agree to defend K3 from the assault.

The snobolds numbers were too great however to begin any sort of search for Archmage Vargoth and the Dragonsworn began to dig in for a siege...

The Council thanks Alyia, Doderic, Exziber, Hildwyn, Gaen (Frostygos), Lexix, Ogumel, Steelshatter, and Rublestrasza for their aid.

Battle on the High Seas!

Following information obtained in Booty Bay the Dragonsworn hire a ship to pursue the Venture Company agent on his way to Ogrimmar. A story night near the Maelstrom erupts into an epic sea battle! The Dragonsworn stand victorious and recover the Hot Dragon Wing Recipe and discover a Dragonmaw Ambassador on his way to the Horde for mysterious reasons. The Ambassador is slain before he can be questioned.

Thanks to Exziber, Hildwyn, Gaen (Frostygos), Lexix, Ogumel, Perianna, Rublestrasza, and Tamerlain for their help in making this adventure so quirky and fun!

Summer Celebration.

On August 28th the Dragonsworn Council held it' first Summer Celebration marking the end of summer! Attendence was high and fun seemed to be had by all.

There was food and booze provided, TONS of fireworks, and a race on the Loch!

As we head into fall the Dragonsworn hopes you will look back on your summer with a smile and that the Summer Celebration is part of the reason why.

The Dragonsworn Counter-Attack!

On August 25th the Dragonsworn struck back at the Dragonmaw Clan for their looting of the Wyrmhearth Tavern and the stealing the Hot Dragon Recipe. Traveling through a mountain pass on their way to the Wetlands the Dragonsworn came upon a Dragonmaw outpost and the smell of Hot Dragon Wings wafting in on the breeze.

During the resulting battle the little frost wyrm Frostygos saved Ruby's life and earned himself the trust of the Council.

Meanwhile Hildwyn pickpocketed the cook... only to find a receipt from the Venture Company for the sale of the Hot Dragon Wing Recipe! The Dragonsworn would not be eating Hot Dragon Wings this night it would seem.

The Wyrmhearth looted!

The Dragonsworn arrived at the Wyrmhearth Tavern last night to find their guildhall looted and ransacked! Food and drinks were consumed by the perpetrators, though all of the magical items in the Dragonsworn Vault were left untouched. What they DID steal was even more valuable however... the world famous Hot Dragon Wing Recipe!

Moreover they found that Dragonsworn member Exziber had been assaulted by an orc warlock who imprisoned his soul in an orb. But only when he has shifted into orge form. Which he does at random times as he always has since the Dragonsworn adopted him into their ranks.

Both the orb and the warlock were questioned and who did we discover was responsible for BOTH tragedies? None other than our neighbors in the Wetlands: the Dragonmaw Clan.

Thanks to everyone who came and made this adventure so hiliarous: Biorn, Exziber, Hildwyn, Ishuzu, Leonrosette, Ogumel, and Rublestrasza.

DSC Quartermaster is open!

Yesterday a quartermaster was appointed to the Dragonsworn ranks: Roo-Biin the oracle hatchling. Given over to the care of Rublestrasza after she rescued him from a Wolvar attack that killed his parents Ruby has been mentoring him in the ways of the Dragonsworn.

His first duty is to hand out shinies in exchange for Dragonsworn Marks

Check out the stickied DSC Quartermaster thread in the announcments forum for a full list of items you can buy with your Dragonsworn Marks to be used in future adventures. More items will be added as time goes on (want to introduce this new feature slowly so we can gauge it's effect on our Adventure Nights).
