Dragonsworn Council Charter

Guild Expectations: If you are a dedicated role-player then we want you in our community and have done the best we can to eliminate potential roadblocks. However that very flexibility means we must be very careful to make sure a potential member IS dedicated to the community and so there are certain expectations for all members.

-Much like a raiding guild has nights for raiding, we have nights members are expected to be here and RP’ing. There are two such nights a week, and each member is expected to attend at least one. These nights have been selected to provide the maximum variety for members and are: Wednesday at 7:00pm, and Saturday starting at 8:00pm server time. On these nights members are expected to be RP’ing; not instancing, not rep grinding, not raiding, and not BG’ing.

-Members are expected to attend other guild events if they are online the night of the event unless they had a raid scheduled already. All guild events will be posted at the beginning of the month so that members will have plenty of warning.

-As suggested above raiding and other activities are certainly allowed and encouraged but it is not this guild's purpose to provide outlets for them. You will have to find that on your own. However if you're going to put such activities ahead of guildmates and guild events you will need to look for another guild. The Dragonsworn Council is not merely something to do when someone is bored.

-Members are expected to behave in a mature manner. Please note the difference between “mature” and “adult”. Excessive cussing or sexual innuendo is forbidden. “Excessive” is defined by the officer online at the time or who reads the chat logs afterward. PG-13 is the level of the conversation we want to see.

-Cybering or ERP is forbidden in any public channel on ANY character of a member of the guild. Do whatever you want in a private channel but in public you represent the guild. The first offense will result in a private talk with an officer and demotion back down to hatchling. A second offense will result in an automatic kick from the guild.

-Godmodding is forbidden on any character of a DSC typist on the Sentinels server as even a non-DSC character may reflect poorly on the guild. Godmodding will result in warnings and stubborn persistence in this regard will lead to a kick from the guild.

Guild Organization: The Dragonsworn Council is divided into five wings: Azure, Bronze, Emerald, Onyx, and Ruby. Each wing is led by an Exarch who is the personal representative of one of the five dragon aspects. An Exarch is expected to generate stories for their Wing and ensure those stories will bring the Wing into contact with the other Wings or allied guilds. Wings will be working together, at cross purposes, and sometimes it may not be clear at first. This is especially true when one is dealing with the Azure or Onyx Wings.

Leading the Council in the name of the unified Wyrmrest Accord is the Council’s Matron/Patron and the Elders who serve as the Matron/Patron’s advisors.

Guild Ranks:

-Hatchling: Those who have yet to prove their worthiness to enter the Dragonsworn Council but have stated a wish to do so. Hatchlings can prove themselves by submitting a bio, registering on the website, attending guild RP days, and assimilating into the guild.

-Dragonsworn: These are the rank and file of the Dragonsworn Council and are considered full members.

-Dragonkin: Those members who show loyalty to the Dragonsworn Council above all else and show initiative in making the community a better place for all are promoted to this rank. They may command lower ranks ICly though have no authority OOCly unless granted such by an officer for the duration of a guild event.

-Exarch: An Exarch leads a Wing of the Council ICly and serves as a junior officer OOCly. Their main purpose is to generate stories and RP for their wing and have authority to moderate the chat channels. If needed the Matron/Patron and Elders may fill some of these roles at times.

-Elder: The senior officers of the guild and the advisors to the Matron/Patron of the Council. They have full authority both ICly and OOCly for guild events and in guild channels, though are subject to the GM’s review after the fact.

-Matron/Patron: The guild master. This person is the head of the family, political leader, and military commander and can only be counter-acted by Queen Alexstrasza herself.
